SPIRITUAL DIRECTION: Here, there and everywhere

with Louise Mangan, Spiritual Director, Pacific Pathways InterSpiritual Care, and President of the InterSpiritual Centre of Vancouver Society

SPIRIT AT LUNCH

Thu, Apr 21, 2016 12:15 PM - 1:30 PM PDT

Here, there and everywhere

Louise will discuss the all-encompassing, universal, non-denominational role of spiritual guidance in our work lives based on the following:

  • The human experience with the Sacred

  • Inner growth, connection, and the spiritual journey

  • “Interspiritual” common ground

  • Why Wisdom matters now

  • Tooling up for now and next

  • The gift of a soul friend

Some of the things to think about as you prepare to attend the presentation:

  • Think about the inner changes you've been aware of through your life.

  • Remember one transition in particular, how did that shift unfold?

  • How has your life been affected?

  • How have you shared your journey?

About Our Speaker:

Louise Mangan is President of the InterSpiritual Centre of Vancouver Society, a member of the Coordinating Circle of Women and Wisdom Canada, and a founder and former Ministry Coordinator of the Pacific InterChristian Community. She is also co-author of Living the Christ-Life, a volume of seasonal reflections and spiritual practices for small groups and individuals.

A retired United Church minister, Louise is passionate about grounding our care for the world in the wisdom of spiritual practices that connect us deeply with the Sacred, and help us deal creatively with fear and ego.

Although she and her partner Liz still keep a small suite in Vancouver, Louise now spends most of her time on Salt Spring Island -- with their two sweet dogs, and an equally patient garden. She offers spiritual support and guidance to persons and couples from a diversity of backgrounds, and describes herself as "partner, mother, grandmother, and soul friend."

Louise is co-author of Living the Christ Life: Rediscovering the Seasons of the Christian Year.
